How much information should I include on my resume? 

I often see candidates trying to include too much information. 

The resume’s purpose is to secure interviews. 

• When applying for jobs, cut general descriptions of duties. 
• Provide information about the context and scope of work. 
• Ask yourself about the most significant results you delivered for each employer. 
• Describe ‘before and after’ scenarios to illustrate improvements. 

Since there is limited resume “real estate,” and hiring managers spend a limited amount of initial time reading them, candidates need to trim what they have down to the most relevant information.
